UF Law Gives Thanks

I am very thankful for the Stephen C.
O’Connell Supreme Court study room. It’s very quiet and if that did not exist I
don’t know where I’d be studying right now so I would just like to thank donors. I’m thankful for our alumni and our donors who give money for scholarships
because it helps me by having great classes with great students and it
really helps the students by lowering the amount of money that they have to
spend and the loans that they have to take out so they can live their dreams
professionally and personally. I’m thankful for having a lot of professors on campus
who are always available to talk not only about school but helping me find
jobs or just talking about life and making sure that everything’s going well. I’m thankful for friends and study partners. We’re thankful for the awesome facilities here. The new renovations that were done are really comfortable and spacious and clean, and it makes it a great place to study on weekends. I am deeply grateful for our students, who are terrific, they’re energizing, they’re intelligent, they are going to make the
law profession a better one, and to our alumni, who are already making the law
profession a better one, and who are so kind and generous to the Levin College
of Law, as well as to me personally. They send me wonderful artifacts from around the world. I am thankful for my family and my dog, he’s like my son. I’m thankful for all my family and friends that give me support throughout the school year
and especially when they let me tell them all the fun facts that I learned
about the Fourth Amendment. This year I’m really thankful that my mom gets to spend Thanksgiving with me in Gainesville. This is her first Gainesville
Thanksgiving so I’m really excited about that and I’m really thankful for the new team the career advisors just down the hall
from me it’s kind of nice to be part of a team again. This year I’m thankful for my
wonderful Chihuahua Scout, my great supportive family, and for this
opportunity to spend my first semester at UF Law where I’ve met some great students
and had some wonderful experiences. I’m very thankful that our tax alumni have
reached out and welcomed me with open arms as I prepare for my trip to São Paulo on behalf of UF Law. I’m thankful for my dog Stella who’s gotten me through 3L. (whistle) I am very thankful for all of the excellent work that our
students are doing in our clinics. I’m thankful for the friends I’ve
made here at UF Law. I’m thankful for coffee. I am incredibly thankful for my family and for the opportunity that I get to work with just an amazing work family that includes students, faculty, and staff. I’m thankful for my friends, my mom, all of my supporters. And I’m especially thankful for Chad. I’m thankful for Maxwell Shrem, my best friend in the world. I am thankful for my family, two of which are attorneys, and of course my
grandchildren that I keep close by on my mouse pad and then I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be teaching at the Levin College of Law, which is my alma mater. I just feel so blessed. So I’m thankful to have this fantastic job
with such fantastic students, faculty, staff, and very committed alums. I’m most thankful though for my kids. Happy Thanksgiving. And go Gators! (clap)

But these tards can't handle the real meaning of Thanksgiving. This is why we think young people are stupid and dread having to hire them. They don't have common sense.
