Physician Assisted Suicide – The Real Effects

I chose to become a physician because I wanted
to make a difference in people’s lives. Recently, I had two different patients and
both needed live saving procedures. When requesting a transfer to a center in
their home states, one’s in California and one’s in Oregon, the insurance medical directors
I spoke with said they would not cover the life saving procedure that we’d requested. “But, hey, by the way, have you considered
assisted suicide?” Quite frankly, I was stunned. This is something we didn’t talk about, we
didn’t request, we didn’t ask for. As much as most insurance companies try to
come across as your best friend, they want to do whatever the least costly thing is. It’s a lot cheaper to grab a couple drugs
and kill you, than it is to provide you life sustaining therapy. Simple as that.

So the death panels are real and turn out to be our insurance companies! SO not only was Sarah Palin right but it was far worse than even she predicted. If the death panel is our insurance company, guess who loses every time?

This doctor provides no specifics about his allegations, so no one should take his unverifiable claims seriously. For example, he does not name the "life-saving procedures" the insurance companies allegedly refused to cover. These procedures could be experimental and untested, which insurance companies do not cover regardless of whether you live in a state where medical aid in dying is authorized or not. He also does not name the insurance companies that allegedly spoke to him or the names of the patients allegedly impacted or what terminal disease they had. Perhaps the reason for these omissions is that he was an avowed opponent of medical aid in dying before he made this video (see Las Vegas Review story posted at:

It is obvious most insurance companies don't care.
    Their priority is making money.
Some resort to dirty tactics to get rid of patients that might cost them more money.
    They lie to cover up.

I have been talking about this for two years! Thank you for speaking out. My mom was urged daily and practically forced into hospice by her doctor. I ordered him to stay out of her room after I caught him telling her it could all be over by tonight. This is a practice that is now running rampant. Think about this…with Obamacare, Medicare and Medicaid the "Government" is essentially in the INSURANCE business.

    lol… US healthcare
"meh it's too expensive to save them, they are poor, did you consider killing them?"
The land of the free!!!! HOORAH!

There are some conditions like ALS and other termial illnesses that i can understand why someone might want to do that, but that scenario is ridiculous

Before Sean got this job selling medical insurance, he was the local child catcher. Just think all these millions of people each year who go missing and are never found. They could be being processed and turned into Spam or bacon sizzle for all we know. I wouldn't trust these evil bastards with anything. This is the mess you get when your right as a citizen to medical treatment is totally controlled by the private sector. These scum bags are offering euthanasia as an option for patients who need treatment. You're going to see this pushed even further where people who cant afford medication are simply euthanised. They'll put people to death once they retire from work, it will be better to kill them off. This im afraid it the way these freaks are going to maintain population growth. How can one offer death as an option along side treatment? Well its cheaper to kill them than keep them alive. We had world wars to cull the population, only now we're being replaced by religious inbred drones who do as they're told and have an average IQ of 70. These libtards are turning the western world into a degenerative shit hole, and its no accident either.

My 87yr old father in love gets a call from his insurance co. Every month telling him to stop taking his needed medication against his doctors advice and behind his back. Thank God he lives with us and we keep him on his doctor's plan.

what a nightmare. Doctors should be outraged they are suppose to save people not kill them. what a sad world we live in.

  • Gary Williams

So you live in a fucked up country which is the USA in which people have to have medical insurance to cover medical treatment which is WRONG, WRONG. Try living in England where medical treatment is free.

  • Benjamin Kanoza

Ok, so… you don't talk about ANYTHING related to assisted suicide. Only say "it's cheaper to provide" drugs that kill you, without taking into account the patients life.

Doctors are there to help patients, ease their suffering, and in some cases keep them alive. When a life has no quality, then the second option can be eliminated.

That leaves easing suffering, but an individual can only suffer so long.

When it becomes unbearable to suffer, (brittle bones, blindness, deafness, lower liver, kidney, heart, etc.), functions, what then do you do doctor? Do you keep a patient alive to suffer, or aid in helping them to die?

    Answer these for me.

SUICIDE: From frying pan to fire (from earthly temporary short sufferings, to eternal hell).

Life is gift, not to be rejected. Life is a privilege. Only one life. Live. Help available. Soul is worth more than the value of world. What profits a man, if he gains whole world, but loses his soul.

Nothing disqualifies anyone from the love of God.

Finding God helps find meaning, purpose, hope, acceptance, love, eternity, human value, human dignity, equality, God-given talents, family values, health, rest, peace, joy, compassion. Finding God prevents suicides.

Sin is pre-existing in all. Sin pre-dates The Bible. The Bible explains origins of sin. The Bible provides remedy for pre-existing sin, through Jesus Christ death and resurrection. The Bible is best selling book in the world for this reason.

God created universe, placed natural laws, made man in His image, gave talents, instructed man to multiply and explore – The Initiation of Science. We are made with good purpose and meaning. We are good. Then sin entered and we all fallen. Disease, despair, deformities, deficiencies, death, greed, hate, anger, rebellious spirit entered. Sin plays spoilsport.

Satan is the enemy, came to steal, kill and destroy. It subtly misleads us to blame good loving God. God is not the author of evil.

Penalty of sin already paid by Jesus Christ on The Cross.

We are saved by God's Grace, not by our works.

Heaven is holy, sin cannot enter. Jesus Christ made entry to heaven easy and free. In heaven no more pain, no more deformities, no more deficiencies, no more death.

Unable to find any motive any reason for Jesus Christ to die on The Cross and resurrect – except His love to save us from pre-existing sin, and hell. For free.

Jesus Christ suffered, ridiculed, spat-on, humiliated, crucified on The Cross, and therefore He understands our pain. He raised victorious, we will too. Those who endure till end are victorious.

    There are solutions to problems.

GRACE: Getting what we don't deserve – forgiveness of sin, eternity in heaven.

MERCY: Not getting what we deserve – punishment of sin, separation from God, eternity in hell.

God offers grace and mercy for free. We are saved by God's grace, not by our works.

Consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

It is a lie to say that we are not loved. God loves us unconditionally. He died willingly on The Cross and resurrected, to save us from pre-existing sin and hell.

The God who died for us, is for us. Not against us.

The world likes success, and God likes faithfulness.

Following God's morals have health, psychological and economic benefits, to individuals, families and nations. Provide equilibrium. Following rules helps.

    There is more to life.

Never found a sentence that is comforting on a death-bed – anywhere else.

Death is scary thing, but eternal damnation is scarier.

Death is not extinction, but accountability.

Jesus Christ coming again to judge all. The doors will be closed. Jesus Christ answers every mystery, every question. He is The Alpha and The Omega.

One day every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

The First Coming of Jesus Christ – He is Lamb, slaughtered for remission of sins to save us from sin and hell. And resurrected.
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ – He will be Lion, The Judge. The Lion and The Lamb.

Jesus Christ forgave all who crucified Him, and now forgives all, even who ridicule Him. He loves all unconditionally, wants to repent.

Believe, trust, repent of sins in Jesus Christ, accept Him as Lord and Saviour, and be saved. Simple.

Nothing to lose, everything to gain.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

(My journey to life, after testing all 'isms' and religions, after failing to find origins and purpose and meaning, after swallowing pride and egos.)
