So complex yet so simple. Did the President use his privileged position of power to help himself at the expense of the United States and its allies?

  • Jim Alley

Amazing. For months Trump suckers have been whining about him not having the chance to face his accusers. Now he can send his lawyers or even face them himself. Betcha he doesn't. Gutless guilty conmen never do. Jordan, if you are listening it kinda blows your argument out of the water doesn't it?

  • Hominini

Trump is nothing but a wax mask now. Neal Katyal cares about the future of the USA and the preservation of our sacred Constitution and the sacred rule of law. Thanks for everything Mr. Katyal. You, my friend, are what's known as a hero.

As a Procurement Professional, I know clearly what a bribe is. Trump definitely SOLICITED a bribe.
If I tell a supplier that I have an authorized Purchase Order for a million dollar order, but he needs to "do me a favor" and give me $10,000.00, that's the solicitation.
If I find out that my competitor gets wind that I asked for the money and tells my boss, but I issue the PO without getting the $10,000.00, I still get fired.

๐Ÿ— I'm like a smart person I know the biggest words believe me I'm a very stable genius I'm the chosen one

impeachment investigations must not be closed, it must be expanded into crimes out of impeachment hearings and others like Turkey, Saudi Arabia … investigations must be continued, there are some very serious matters that need to be investigated

  • somastic69

I like how they go straight to Nixon, and not Clinton impeachment. Everyone remembers Clinton, most weren't even alive during Nixon.

  • Henry Coy

Gee I wish the Democrats would be more pragmatic, Impeaching Trump will make it easier for Republicans to win in 2020, that is bad for America, Bad for Planet Earth…….just plain Bad……..stupid to the nth degree!…….does Trump deserve to be Impeached, without any doubt! Does America deserve to have more Republicans elected? No way…….and you canโ€™t have your cake and eat it too…….Trump is the greatest asset that Democrats will have in 2020, it is insane to lay down your greatest weapon, in this case the end justifies the means!………everyone is writing a book, they all have vested interests……..selling books

Either he's impeached or we burn the constitution and make him king. Please don't keep this person in office because he is not about to admit wrong and change his ways.

  • Bjarke Stemann

This is about to reveal a new level of dictatorship. The crimes are blatantly clear, and republicans just obstruct justice. And this fact will make them take down future elections – wich will happen

  • franca deangelis

I like Neal because he's telling Steve , to forget the polls , forget the talking points and all the hype, it's all about the constitution and the rule of law plain and simple

  • Jag jag gumboot

So what happens to other links we see promoting corruption and they just fade, like the husband and wife trump lawyers and their explosive luggages?

  • Bono Budju

The evidence is indisputable Trump confessed on live TV and in the summary of the transcript. Make sure that you are still officially on the electoral roll ahead of 2020 especially if you live in a red state.

  • mary jones

excellent interview, ty mr katyal and mr komacki. congrats on your book mr katyal, can't wait to read it! and i agree, we MUST follow the Constitution. bribery is specifically listed as a reason to impeach and remove! the senators must obey their oaths of office or face being voted out of office!

  • jon geraldson

the polls indicate what will be the outcome of the election if the Senate will not do its duty to impeach Trump. The 50% for removal will no longer change their mind come election 2020. The a great portion of the 43% are just afraid that process would further divide the country, but are itching to vote Trump out of office.

  • Ganiscol

Just say it: trump and every single one who supports him are betraying the Constitution, the rule of law and ultimately democracy. In simpler terms, they are traitors to the very idea of the United States of America.

  • M X

Why not Trump be judged at the poles? Because he is actively cheating that process and continues to invite foreign intervention into our elections.

  • Mary Matthews

You can bet that the MONEY to be made from getting involved in Ukrainian oil and gas has been a big motivation for all this. Trump cited the money Hunter Biden was being paid (along with his youth and inexperience), so it's on his mind. Giuliani probably sold him on the idea that energy is a sure fire money maker. Look how many billionaires made their money from energy – and compare that to the number of real estate billionaires there are. I think that being able to attack Joe Biden is a happy side effect – or a smokescreen.

  • jollyandwaylo

Neal doesn't seem to realize that the Republicans are not honest actors. I think the Dems should keep exposing more and more crimes until Republicans start to admit that Trump is guilty. Otherwise, the Senate will basically declare Trump king and above the law.

  • Richard Williams

The horrible thing is that the weak Republicans in the Senate will acquit Trump and then we have the same 2016election scenario where Trump will get reelected not by his merit by purely his ENTERTAINMENT VALUE

  • Elvira-Irina Reisinger

Orange mafia boss Donnie T pi**ed his pants bc he knows that he can't endure a serious interrogation. Of course he stays at home… but not for long. Vote him out!

hello there. This is your brain speaking. Reminding you to go way back to before you heard about this whistle-blower.
Remember, Rudy told us all he was going to the Ukraine and "dig up dirt on Biden".
So the Electrical Commissioner made a rare official rebuke and said "Let me be clear… That is a crime".
Well, we know Trump won't take a "No" from a classy lady, so they tried it this way instead.
Me: "Ah, I remember that now! How can anyone not see these guys are crooks!"

Hey Numpty! If you're not impeached then I will su** my own co**. You are going down baby and there are just three things I want to say at this point and that is "Ha Ha Ha" LOSER

  • Keoki Ciervo

It's a joy to listen to Neal Katyal. He is an asset to America. BTW I agree with the points he's made. I hope more Americans can focus on what is happening in our country now. A threat from within and from without/ putin.

  • Anthony Gladden

IN THE FACE OF OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE THE PRESIDENT AND REPUBLICANS ARE TRYING TO DELAY THE SENATE RECEIVING ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT TO AVOID HAVING TO VOTE. BECAUSE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL SEE REPUBLICANS CHOOSING TRUMP OVER THEIR SECURITY JUST TO HOLD ON TO THEIR OWN SEATS. THEY DON'T CARE IF TRUMP GET REELECTED OR EVEN IF IS WORSE IN A 2ND TERM, OR IF PUTIN HAS CONTROL OF HIM. THIS IS CORRUPTION PURE AND SIMPLE.

  • America Lost

Great job of pounding down the cynicism of the interviewer here and so many others decrying the Impeachnrnt process because only 50% of the public wants it to proceed.

  • Patrick Kennedy

OBSTRUCTION of JUSTICE is still a felony as is bribery and extortion. IMPEACH and REMOVE the corrupt and compromised asset from office.

  • Elle Krimowa

This is a Dangerous Presidency…..every day the world is under siege with trump..through his compromise by putin's russia! SHAME on ENABLERS!

  • harshbarj

Wait, so he complains about not being able to have a lawyer at the hearing and not being represented. Now he has the chance and he is unlikely to do so? That just shows his original complaint had no merit!

  • pat comerford

The impeachment is the end result of trump and his GOP being Russian lovers for the last two years and ten months, and during the trump presidential race! Ask Moscow Mitch!

  • Brother Mine

Katyal said that failure to impeach given the facts about Ukraine would effectively remove the Impeachment clause from the Constitution. Given the repeated lawlessness of this President, both by actions and inactions, failure to impeach for repeated violations of the Take Care clause will effectively remove the Take Care clause from the Constitution. The Take Care clause is how the Constitution provides for the rule of law, by requiring the President to "take care that the laws are faithfully executed." The Take Care clause was central in two of the three articles of impeachment that the House drafted against Nixon in 1974. If Congress doesn't impeach Trump after his many public violations of the Take Care clause, they violate their oath to defend the Constitution, and they normalize tyranny.

  • Separate Realities

Republicans have the same mentality as the police! If one of their own is involved in a crime, they all back him up! Like a big gang. I'm sure the Democrats are like that too! I've never seen it this bad though! They don't care about justice for their own kind. Just like when they worked so hard to get Kavanaw in their club. They dont care if the accusations are true or not. They just want their man in.

  • misterjag

One significant difference between the Nixon situation versus the Trump situation is economic. In 1974, the economy was mired in stagflation. But would the economy be any different with Mike Pence in office? I doubt it.
